I've always just taught students how to multiply and divide polynomials using the "box" method. I've been hesitant to use algebra tiles only because I wasn't 100% confident with them. After watching this training, I feel much more confident using algebra tiles in my class. I'm planning on using them when we get to the algebra 1 polynomial unit soon! Thanks, Rachael!

This was super helpful!!!!! I have never used Algebra tiles before and now I feel confident to teach how to use them to my students! I am a first year teacher and about to start teaching Algebra. I was worried about teaching algebra because my kids are hands on learners and need to visualise things and I thought algebra would be impossible to do that! But I think these algebra tiles will help give some meaning to it! Now that I understand how to use them and how it all works myself, I will give this a go with the students!! I would love if you can demonstrate how to show "simpler" things with Algebra tiles, like solving equations and combining like terms etc.
